Submission Criteria
Email a prospectus or topic idea or any questions to an editor by, or close to, the date noted in the email sent via listserv at the beginning of the semester. If you're still unsure, email someone in a leadership position. We cannot publish works sent to us mid-semester without receipt of an earlier prospectus.
We accept works from all fields within the humanities and social sciences so long as the submissions are nonpartisan, thematic in nature, and within our 1400-3000 word requirement, though we are flexible on the last point.
Prospectuses should be 4-10 sentences in length describing briefly what you intend to research and a preliminary argument. Also include the overall impact of your idea; why is it important that we know about this? Articles will go through at least two rounds of editing, and will end up at around 1400 to 3000 words.
If you have never written for us, please include a writing sample with your initial thesis. If you have written for us before, please list the article(s) you have contributed to the Journal.
